Display Layouts

Our LCDs show homogeneous characters generated from picture elements with different shapes and sharp edges leading to a very good readability also for visually handicapped persons.

When selecting a display layout it should be taken into account that the readability in bright ambient will further increase with larger segments.

We can offer a wide range of segment-type and matrix displays, which is expanded continuously.

In addition we are also happy to make customized displays with character heights up to 1.50m.

Segment displays with block characters
Segment displays are the optimized solution for displaying characters and numbers with fixed sizes and spacings. With their high fill factor they offer very good readability.
Number and shape of the individual segments can be widely adjusted to the customer needs. Today we offer displays with 38 segments, 55 segments and 72 segments per character as well as proportional font displays with character heights between 19mm and 600mm as standards.

Proportional font
Proportional font displays consist of a continuous arrangement of equal columns. Different characters can be displayed with different character widths, and also the spacing between the characters can be varied.

Matrix displays
In matrix displays the information is generated from individual dots of equal shape homogeneously arranged in the display area. They offer larger design freedom.
Today we can offer displays with 9 up to 64 pixel lines.
